In 1991 two drama students of the National University of Mexico decided to create plays for children and they choose to name themselves IMAGINARTE.

They have been training on dance, music, puppet theatre, circus and a respectful relationship with their public: children.

Now after 13 years of hard work, IMAGINARTE is an artistic company of actors, dancers, circus artists, choreographers, designers, puppeteers, musicians and play writers.

Actor and dancer with more than 30 years of experience. He has been part of the company for the last 8 years.
Actress, stilt walker and puppeteer. She's part of the company since 2001.
Actor, clown and play writer. He is working with the company since 2002.

Since 1994 IMAGINARTE has created plays about Mexican indigenous mythology with the idea of strengthen children's identity and understanding of their past.

Mictlan, our first production, earned the recognition of critics and was proposed by ITI center to represent Mexico in the Toyama International Festival for children.

With Rain Glasses, IMAGINARTE was the first Mexican company to go to the Neapolis International Festival for Children in Tunisia on December 2001.

After that, the National Environment Ministry (SEMARNAT) asked for a play to celebrate the International year of the Mountains. For that, IMAGINARTE created The Ants and the corn a play about the beginnings of agriculture and the respect for nature.

On 2003 the National's Great Temple Museum staged our play Coyolxauhqui to commemorate 25 years of the discovery of the stone sculpture of the Moon Goddess.
